Learning Carnavalito

St John the Baptist: Visiting the first school today. We were received by the whole group of secondary students. They prepared a presentation with Irish sports and then.... to practise. We had lunch with them and after that we were ready to present our country to them. Some students made a multiple choice game for them about Argentina and they knew a lot about our country. Students from La Quiaca danced carnavalito and the ones from Banfield El Gato. The best part: the Irish had to dance too. They prepared a small concert too, where they played traditional Irish music and dance. Fantastic!

First day at University. It's huge!!! Kids went into class, teachers went around. After lunch we went into the City Centre for a scavenger hunt; in the process we talked to a lot of people and got to know the whole city. At night we had our first Argentinian party. We didn't know where to go, but as we passed a door and heard NTVG we knew where the party was...

OK. Here we are In Limerick after many hours on a couple planes and a bus ride from Dublin. Great place, beautiful people!!! Everybody's really friendly and willing to learn about us... Today's my first day at Limerick University; meeting with other teachers, going around campus to get to know our way, etc. Thumbs up for the Irish; thumbs down: the weather! Yesterday when we got here it was sunny for about half an hour and then it suddenly started raining and frosting! Anyway, love it here. I´ll keep you posted about everything we do!
